STEP 2: Check Eligibility

Be 14 years of age at the time of travel; unless child is traveling with parents--then just need to be camp age, which is 9-18.

Campers & Counselors Only: Attended a Swamp Camp for at least one (1) week in your lifetime OR by special permission from the Director. (Other volunteers do not have to have Swamp Camp experience)

Mature enough to work on a team in an extreme selfless, giving environment.

Other factors will be determined on a case-by-case scenario (i.e. skills: counseling, nursing, life guard, special experiences, etc.).

Priority is given to those participants who are from a location that in any way supports the destination location so that relationships and sustainability are fostered and maintained between the two locations.

All approvals are at the final discretion of the Swamp Corps Program Director based on what is needed in order to most effectively meet Swamp Corps' Mission & Core Values for the host community.

All counselors must pass a Background Check and submit a Letter of Recommendation from their ministry leader if not already on file for the current year. Click here to access the online recommendation form.
