How It All Began: Swamp Mexico 2026

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” The story of Swamp Camp Mexico is living proof of that truth. It all began with the Cruz family, who for three years traveled to Nicaragua with a group of teens from Honduras to experience the joy of Swamp Camp. Later, they helped bring camp to Honduras, where countless lives were touched and transformed. Over the years, their youngest daughter, Priscila, also witnessed the magic of camp in Bolivia and Paraguay—seeing how God moves powerfully through play, connection, community, and wonder. After many years of dreaming and praying, that same vision began to take root in Mexico. Through countless conversations and steps of faith, Priscila and Héctor Cruz began sharing this dream with church leaders across the country. What started as a prayer has now become a reality—the very first Swamp Camp in Mexico will take place in 2026. This marks not just a new camp, but a new chapter in the story of how God continues to move through families, faith, and friendship across Latin America.

Key Information:

Do I need a visa?

Whether you need a visa for Mexico depends on your nationality and existing travel documents. Citizens of countries like the United States, Canada, Japan, and Schengen Area members do not need a visa, provided they have a valid passport. However, citizens of many other countries must obtain a visa from a Mexican diplomatic mission before traveling. Even if you don't need a visa for the short term, you may need to complete a digital Multiple Digital Migration Form (FMMd) and bring a valid passport.

Are vaccinations needed?

Check the following two sources: Passport Health or CDC Health Information for Travelers to Mexico.

Find the nearest Travel Clinic to you. They can advise you on the vaccinations needed and the fees associated with each one.

Verify if must have MMR: verify up-to-date; can request MMR Titer if not sure.

Highly Recommended Medicines / Vaccinations:
